Certified course passes through many of Branford's scenic beaches, park and residential neighborhoods.
Health Walk: (approx. 2 miles)
Join hundreds of others in a noncompetitive walk.
Fun Run: (1 mile) non-competitive
Join hundreds of children and adults running around downtown Branford. Ribbons to all finishers.
Packet Pick Up
Sound Runner, 1088 Main Street, Branford,
June 19th & 20th: 10am - 6pm.
Save time on race morning and pick up your race number and T-shirt early.
Branford Town Green, June 21st: 8:30am.
Race numbers & T-shirts can also be picked up on race day.
Prize Money
5-mile race only. Overall (M&F) $200, 100, 50, 25.
Stratton Faxon CT Distance Challenge
Compete in the Branford 5-mile Road Race, Fairfield Half Marathon, Danbury Half Marathon and New Haven 20K to be eligible to win awards. Awards given to the 3 lowest combined times in the following categories: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
Aid Stations & Services
At least 4 water stations on 5-mile course. One water station on Health Walk. Medical spotters on Health Walk and 5-mile courses. Ambulance in finish area.
Awards & Age Groups
In the 5-Mile Race, the top 3 finishers in each category receive Branford Road Race awards.
The categories are as follows:
Men & Women 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
The 1st male and female Branford residents also receive awards.
Post-Race Brunch
All 5-mile race participants are invited to a post-race brunch featuring a choice of a sandwich, pancake breakfast or continental breakfast, courtesy of Lynn's Deli. Spectators can choose from a wide variety of food vendors on the Branford Green.
Kids Activities
Climbing wall, obstacle courses, moonwalks, slide, train rides and toddler activities. (Nominal per ride charge.)
Branford Festival
Everyone is invited to enjoy the Branford Festival on Father's Day weekend. The festival features entertainment, food, children's activities and shopping. Featured evening performers include:
FRIDAY- Big Shot (Billy Joel Tribute)
SATURDAY- Marshall Tucker Band
T-Shirts & Entertainment
Newly designed T-shirts given to all registered entrants. Bands will be on all event courses.
